When your real estate agent makes the offer on the home you simply ask them to execute the contingency to have your home inspector perform a complete home inspection prior to your purchasing the home.

The picture to the right is where a client kept smelling a musty odor but could not locate where it was coming from.  I did the thermal scan and found this closet had moisture penetration from the water heater located on the other side of the wall.  The water heater was leaking on the back edge and seeping into the closet area which had carpet in it.  Problem found without tearing out any walls or and damage.

So many times we are asked the question “Do I really need to get a home inspection done if the house is a brand new home?”  The answer is Yes.  Now let me explain why.
