The importance of a new home inspection

1

So many times we are asked the question “Do I really need to get a home inspection done if the house is a brand new home?”  The answer is Yes.  Now let me explain why.

First of all, the builders hire out most of the work  to contractors and sometimes have several projects or homes going on at one time.  The builder will do his best to keep on top of everything but even the best builder is human and that means that he can miss something.  Now I’m sure that the builder only tries to hire the best contractors but more and more often corners are having to be cut.

I am a state of Florida certified general contractor and an FHA home inspector. I know that a home should be inspected by a competent inspector before buying. This is especially true in Florida. I have seen many homes that the owners have made additions too without permits. This could result in costly corrections for a new owner.
